    Hi,
I think idea protect the bridge against USA armor is very good. I give you some information about Carius Westfront battles I discovered from net:

On 8 March 1945 Carius unit (Jagdtiger 2nd Company of the 512th Heavy Antitank Battalion) was directed to front line near Siegburg, where it took part in the defense of the River Rhein, against Americans. Its historical fact. What is better that defend the bridge against Shermans or Pershings.
Information about Siegburg - Siegburg (i.e. fort on the Sieg river) is a city in the district of Rhein-Sieg-Kreis, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located on the banks of the rivers Sieg and Agger, 10 kilometres from the former seat of West German government Bonn and 26 kilometres from Cologne.

In April 1945, he was into the Ruhr pocket. During the fighting there he destroyed in a battle at the Friedrich-Wilhelm-height in the Bismarck-tower between Unna and Langschede on 11 April 1945 about 15 Allied tanks.

On Janurary 17, 1945, two Jagdtigers engaged fortified positions near Auenheim with no loss. The next day, they engaged four bunkers at a distance of 1,000 meters. The combat had 46 high-explosive and 10 armoured-piercing shells fired on fortifications and tanks, the Jagdtigers were able to kill a few Allied bunkers and tanks with no losses. Then in April 1945, 512th Battalion saw lots of action when the 1st company engaged Allied tanks and trucks in April 9th, destroying 11 tanks and over 30 other AFVs, the distance of engagement was more than 4,000 meters and ended with only one Jagdtiger lost due to an air attack. The next few days, the 1st company proceeded to destroy five more Shermans before surrendering at Iserlohn. All activity of the 512th Battallion ended with the surrender of the last of the 2nd company April 15th in the same city. This information is from Carius unit oper.raport.

This is all information I got from net.
Maybe someone can tell me is this information true or give addional information about this battles ?

    With regards

I guess the hardness will be selectable depends on balance.
At default balance N5 there will be:
    GER
    1. 3x Jagdtiger (2x?)
    2. 1x infantry platoon (gebirgsjager)
    3. 2x ATG Pak-43
    4. 5x Support trucks at the area of Siegburg

    USA
    1. 3x M26 "Pershing"
    2. 6x M4A1/76
    3. 8x APC M3 with 2x inf. platoon
    4. 2x support trucks with inf. squad
    5. 2x Thunderbolt

First try to fire up the mission in ME! Cool

As u can see Jagdtigers need insignia of 512 Heavy Panzerjager Battalion.

The next mission will be breakthrough the "Rurh pocket". Well, in fact the squad of O. Carius didn't has active battles. According to his memories he shoot one US tank.

This is a draft variant of the history note:
On 8th March 1945 Carius unit ("Jagdtiger" 2nd Company of the 512th Heavy Antitank Battalion) was directed to
front line near Siegburg, where it took part in the defense of the River Rhein, against Americans.
Siegburg (fort on the Sieg river) is a city in the district of Rhein-Sieg-Kreis, in North Rhine-Westphalia,
Germany. It is located on the banks of the rivers Sieg and Agger, 10 kilometres from the former seat of
West German government Bonn and 26 kilometres from Cologne.
On 21 March, the 512th Heavy Panzerjager Battalion was assigned to LIII Corps and committed to the Battle of Remagen. Illustrating the difficulties German forces faced in getting their armor to the front, it took ten days to bring the first five Jagdtigers of the 2nd company 512th Heavy Panzerjager Battalion to the front
due to communications breakdowns and the threat from fighter-bombers.

In Siegburg I found a magnificent position on the high ground where the military posts were. From there we had great fields of fire through a cut in the woods onto the road that led into the valley on the far side of the
Sieg River. We wailed for the Americans at this location, but we weren't granted any kills here either,
even though I had remained in my assault gun to prevent a new failure. That was because the Yanks had
    confederates among us.
Leutnant Otto Carius, Tigers in the mud.

If I remember correctly many of his Abteilung Jadgtiger crews refused to shoot at the Americans for fear that the dreaded American or British Jabos would come and shoot them up. At this stage of the war many German soldiers were more concerned about finishing it alive than dying for a lost cause. Carius should have been the first one to face reality and make the lives of the men under his command his first priority. Destroying even dozens of US armoured vehicles was not going to change the course of the war.

Great thanks to Lightning62 for his help with info and texts!
The mission will be short and simple. It is end of the March 1945. Allies encircled a lot of German troops "Ruhr pocket". User has a task to slow down US armor to provide retreating of the main forces.
U just move to the bridge, shoot a couple American tanks ("Pershing"/"Easy Eight"), then retreat.
According to the rumors 512th Heavy Panzerjager Battalion had insignia "Puma". So I've placed it just for fun Smile  pirat
Also on the map will be presented the new object "Old stone bridge".

    Let's start the mission N10!
    Here's a history note.
    note:

On March 7th, 1945, the 9th US Armored Division took the village Eitorf near intact bridge over the river Sieg. The purpose was to capture the bridgehead on the east bank of the river and develop further advancing towards Cologne.
On March 8th, 2nd Company of the 512th started traveling south, eventually reaching the Lauschied woods southeast of Eitorf on March 10th, 1945. The movement was very slow and only during the darkness, because of the strong opposition of the Allies aviation. The main attack was planed on March 17th, with elements of the 512th Abteilung, together with the 506th schwere Panzerabteilung and 654th schwere Jagdpanzerabteilung. The armored groups were formed into Panzergruppe Hudel and had a task to execute attack between Eitorf and Siegburg towards the southwest, with the intention to destroy the US forces located near bridgehead. In spite of the desperate attempt to eleminate the enemy concentration the German assault on the Eitorf location failed, mainly because the attack forces were committed piecemeal. Generalleutnant Bayerlein, commanding of the German LIII Army Corps, suggested that the attack not begin until all three designated divisions and their heavy weapons were in place. This idea was rejected, however, and he was forced to attack on 12th March. Hitler had given orders to attack "immediately with every available unit."

We were still in the process of loading in Gummersbach when the Americans broke through at Weidenau. It was very difficult for us to get away. The Russians would never have given us so much time! But look at how long it took the Americans to liquidate a pocket where one can scarcely talk about any kind of serious resistance. A well-equipped force of German soldiers would have easily eliminated the entire "Ruhr Pocket" in a week at the outside.
Oberleutnant Otto Carius, Tigers in the mud.

The mission will start at night and soon become a morning. In March 1945 the German forces had ability of the movement only during the night, because of the opponent superiority in the aviation. The task is - eliminate the US troops(advanced squad of the 9th Armored Division) concentration and prevent his further offensive towards Cologne.

    Here's insignia "Puma".

Great work has gone into making the "Old Stone Bridge", really an excellent addition for the maps & missions.

    Thanks' to all involved! applause

This Old Stone Bridge reminds me of the same type of bridge used in the tank battle scene fought on the bridge in the 1965 movie Battle of the Bulge.

Oh the turkey they made with Henry Fonda and Robert Shaw? M48 Italian tanks supposed to be Koenigstigers. Terrible film, poorly done, absolutely no realism and a parody of the real events in the Ardennes.

That bridge looks like the one on the nta-halbe map. Good job indeed!

Yes, 10 missions are quite enough.
    There are:
    - 2 missions for Pz.38(t)/C
    - 2 missions for Pz.IV/F1
    - 4 missions for Pz.VI "Tiger"
    - 2 missions for Jagdtiger
So far the missions for Pz.38(t) ausf.C are the most exiting for me Cool Sweety present
Soon we'll get updated 3D model of this tank!

Here's a summarize text and a final image.
    text:

Otto Carius was born on May 27th of 1922 in Zweibrucken, Rheinland-Pfalz in Southwest Germany. Just as he graduated from school, World War II broke out and he volunteered for 104th Infantry Placement Battalion in May of 1940. Following training, he was assigned to the 21st Panzer Regiment and experienced his first battle as a loader on a Panzer 38(t) during the "Barbarossa" operation in June of 1941. After about an year of war experience on the Eastern Front, Carius was accepted in an Officer Candidate Course and following its completion, was assigned to the 502nd Heavy Tank Battalion in April of 1943. Equipped with the new "Tiger" tanks, he was assigned as a tank commander to the 2nd Company of 502nd Heavy Tank Battalion.
In August of 1944, Otto Carius was transferred to Paderbornto the newly created schwere Panzerjager Abteilung 512 and received the command of the 2nd Company. sPzJagAbt 512 was equipped with a powerful Jagdtigers, armed with a 128mm Pak 44 L/55 gun.
On March 8th of 1945, without finishing its training, 2nd company was directed to the frontline near Siegburg. It then took part in the defence of the River Rhine and eventually surrendered to the US Army on April 15th of 1945.

Meanwhile, many years have passed. The allies of today have evolved from the enemies of yesterday. From the hate that the western powers brought against the German combat soldier a hate that they continued to let us feel for many years after the armistice has come the recognition that this German soldier did nothing, but his duty for four and a half years properly, bravely, and loyally.
The old spirit of combat comradeship could not be eliminated, despite all the humiliation that we were subjected to and all the injustice that we endured.
Oberleutnant Otto Carius, "Tigers in the mud"

    Awards:
    - Iron Cross 2nd and 1st Class (EK II and EK I)
    - Knights Cross (Ritterkreuz)
    - Oakleaves to the Knights Cross (Eichenlaub)
    - Wound Badge in Gold
    - Panzer Battle Badge in Silver (100)

    Total victories (kills):
    - 150-200 tanks
Majority of this score was tailed on the Eastern Front.

I have uncovered a vehicle control issue in the Carius Campaign missions 9 (Eitorf) and 10 (Siegburg). In both missions I can maneuver into an advantageous engagement position and open fire on opposing units. I am generally successful but after about 5-10 minutes, and without sustaining any hit, casualties, or damage to the Jagdtiger (operating in the gunner's position) with the engine running normally, the Jagdtiger will not respond to control inputs (forward, reverse, etc) in any crew position except the radio operator's position (pf5 input). And then, once moving, AI command takes over and the Jagdtiger maneuvers on its own; stopping, starting, turning, and firing. It does not matter whether I am using keyboard or joystick inputs, the results are the same. The rest of the Carius mission's player vehicles respond perfectly. Something in the Jagdtiger model, maybe? Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions?

At Lockie's request, the following is my current install order (I have not figured out how to post screen shots to this forum...My bad):

    Hi

In 3 missions Campaign: Otto Carius 03.Sychevka. 8th AUG 1942, on the map, is a field Ammo resuply.
Is it possible and how to do it to resuply ammunition.

The first variant worked unstable, that's why ability resupply was commented.
Try this fix. If it'll work stable then it'll be included in the next update. Install the last in line.

From the very beginning user has:
    AP PZGR - 25
    HE SPRGR34 - 39
    HEAT GR38HLA - 10
    HEAT GR38HLB - 6

I´ve just finished the campaign and it is a fine piece of work. Besides the great gameplay, the quality briefings and quotes based on Carius´ accounts allow the player to find out more about his interesting career and personality.

Here is a playlist of the campaign:

However instead of watching this I recommend you to play it yourself.

    Hi, MANoWAR.U51
I've seen your video and found one minor bug in the mission N8 "Malinava". U've captured the village and got the victory Smile But u should have destroyed the column of the JS-2 also. So, I've tweaked some triggers and would be pleased, if u play this mission again v.1.85 Try balance "4" Cool
