A few questions regarding STA access

Post by UsF on Fri May 25, 2018 1:25 am

I have a few questions regarding the STA mod mostly in regards with availability and the donation process.

    1. Is STA 2.x available without donation? I remembered this post from 2016 stating that the 2.x version would become free without donation in 2017: http://stasf2008.forumotion.com/t817-is-it-need-to-donation-first-for-download-sta1-2#9221 but only found the time to check back now.
lockie wrote:There are only STA2.x and STA3.x is under donation request. Though, in the next year 2017 STA2.x will be free to d/l.
    2. How much donation is required to gain access to the latest STA version (3.3)?
    3. Are new donations required for newer version or does one donation cover it for a lifetime?
    4. Is there a plan for the mods to become free at all in the future or will the last or latest versions always be locked away?

    Hi, UsF, Sabinoplane
Download JCM mod. It is based on STA2.xx http://stasf2008.forumotion.com/t802-jcgm-japan-community-game-pack

IDK was presented for SF a long time ago. That's why Steel Fury has a development as a standalone mods. Compare SABOW and SF and ask yourself which game has more mods.
Firstly buy the game, install it and be sure it works on your PC. If it runs then install free version STA1.2

You can download STA 2.2 in the Japanese web site:

    http://wikiwiki.jp/pzfr/?Steel%20Tank%20Add-on

You can download the GMPs in that web site also!

Thank you for the replies. I will try STA 2.2 from that site, but am still interested in how the donation system works (if one is enough or if it needs to be recurring with newer versions).

As far as I know the donation is a one-time event.Once you have paid you need not pay for future updates.
