Mission "TF Abrams" is going to be finished and now is under johnf' inspection. It's a draft version and doesn't corresponds to the real action, but looks similar  alien  happy

The main hero is tank M4A1/76/W. User three tasks:
    1. Move to the initial position.
    2. Take part in the common attack and capture the enemy positions
    3. Finish the town's encirclement.
There are three tank under user's control: 1xM4A1 +2xM4A1/75(early OR late)
Mission is hard, coz German has a tough defence(2xPAK-40 and 1xPAK-43) and there are 6x Pz.IV with StUG are going to help with.
The third task is a very difficult, coz user's squad have to break through the "hedgehog" protected with a panzerschreck.

    PS
TF is Task Force, which I suppose is identical to Strike Group or Kampfgruppe.

I can see a late summer 1944 scenario when the triumphant Red Army is entering Eastern Poland or the Baltic states after crushing Army Group Centre. £ Captured trophy Panther s are given the taks of cutting off a retreating German column consisting of trucks with infantry, Skdz and Stugs/ Pz IVs with infantry. The mission consists of 2 parts. 1st part the Panthers along with Su-85s/infantry need to take a bridge defended by infantry ( SS or Jaegers) with AT and arty guns, nebelwerfers or mortars and panzerschreks. Once the bridge is captured, the 2nd part pf the mission consists in stopping and destroying the German convoy when it comes to cross the bridge. Let's call the mission The Claws that Came in from the Cold.

I would say Mysharivka is one I personally like. From the heights you can plan an ambush but it lacks a river and a bridge ....Otherwise we need a map with low, soft hills, forests and a river and a bridge. I'll have to look at the maps available and make proposals.

It's possible to re-design(again) the map nta_halbe OR make a clone with a river enabled.
It is a map devoted to Panther F. Can u draw a simple scheme of the map?

Yes your excellent Halbe map or the Ylla map with a bridge similar to the ones in the Halbe and eu_m36_west maps would be great. Or if you want I could draw a sketch of a map?

Actually I found an existing map which would fit the bill nicely. It's the Volga map. It has a river in the middle, 4 bridges that can pass as pontoon or bridges laid by a retreating army, some hills and a couple of buffs that can serve as fortified positions. I just wish it had more trees but nothing is perfect in life.

    This is a good choice!
OK, I've created a sample of the mission. The question is where to place the defence? There are no any trenches near the bridges. Or just put on a couple pak-40 with a Hetzer?
And how the German column will move - from the village or towards village?

I guess with a simple cockpit of the trophy Pz.V "A", the mission will be ready in a week.

There's a hill ( on the upper right side of the map )with 5 artillery AT dugouts with a few houses and trees behind and some and some trenches in the front about 500 metres north of the twin bridges and a ford at the centre of the map. This is where the German defences should be set up.

The German column should be situated at the northern edge of the map with a wait time trigger  before it can move towards the bridges at the centre of the map. Once the Soviet attack group has cleaned up the hill then they can stay on the south side of the hill and ambush the column which will pass by the hill on its way to the bridges.

BTW who made this excellent map? Would it be possible to add more trees to it?

Re the units here's what I suggest:

    German hill defences:

3 Pak40 , one 105 mm arty gun and one Flak88. one or 2 squads of infantry with pzrschrecks.

    German column:

A couple of trucks, 3 Panther Ausf G with apcs, 4 Pz IVs and 6 Stugs.

    Soviet forces: 2 Trophy Panthers, 9 T34/85, 3 Late JS-2 , 3 SU-85 , 2 ISU-122 and infantry .

It's a surprise attack so no artillery strike. May be a couple of IL2s to strafe the column when it starts moving?

Theoretically, it's possible to re-create this polygon. It wont be exactly the same, but has some common tendencies.
I've made the game map. Could u show with arrows where attack/defence/column? And show some trees.
I'll compile it and that will be the new map with a source code. Then we can change whatever we want.

It doesn't matter. Do as u wish! Cool
I've made a simple polygon, which is similar to the mentioned one. Suppose I'll finish it during next 2-3 weeks.

I think it's possible to use the polygon "Fury" for this mission. It has some buildings which looks like a small diary farmstead.

Battle near Lake Kebir, Tunisia, 18th January 1943.
Following the Allied landing in French North Africa the 501st Heavy Tank battalion, with its 16 Panzer IIIs, arrived in Tunisia between November 1942 and January 1943.
Initially only three Tiger Is of the 501st landed at Tunis on 23 November 1942. These first elements of the battalion, along with a four Panzer III, were organized with other units into
    Kampfgruppe of Oberst Hans-Georg Lueder.
On 15 January 1943, eight Tigers and eight Panzer IIIs were assigned to work with 756. Gebirgsjäger-Regiment, KG Lueder was re-established with five Tigers and 10 Panzer IIIs to reinforce the II. Battalion of 69. Panzergrenadier-Regiment with additional two groups of antiaircraft guns. On 18 January, as part of Operation Eilbote I, the Gebirgsjäger infantry broke through the enemy positions (British 6th Armoured Division under commanding Major-General Charles Keightley), which were protected by anti-tank guns and captured a crossing south west of Lake Kebir. One Tiger was scrapped due to a shortage of spare road wheels after hitting a mine. On 19 January, KG Lueder attacked along the road towards Robaa, then turned and took the crossing at Hir Moussa, capturing US personnel carriers which were turned over to their infantry.
Skirmishes on 20 January resulted in the loss of a Tiger to a British 6 pdr anti-tank gun, and another blown up by British engineers. Over the next two days, British counterattacks were
repelled. Three enemy tanks destroyed for the loss of two Panzer III and one Tiger. On 24 January, more British attacks were repelled with heavy German losses.

That's a good scenario! I guess it'll be the first mission for Tiger in Africa!
I've read some notes and seen that the main battle had place in olive grove - Tigers vs Sherman/Grant/Stuart. Thus we need a new tree olive bounce

Mission devoted to Sd.Kfz. 250/2 is ready! will be included in the next update!
The mission is kinda training. User has to go to the destination point then return. During movement be prepared to engage with a Soviet infantry.

    That's "Tiger" mission.
Franz Staudegger SS-Unterscharführer, SS Liebstandarte Division
    http://ftr.wot-news.com/2013/09/04/staudeggers-run/

From the headquarters of the Fuhrer. On 10 July 1943 the Fuhrer awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross to SS-Unterscharführer Franz Staudegger, tank commander in a panzer regiment of the Panzer-Grenadier Division Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler. Staudegger, who for technical reasons could not take a part in an attack by his regiment, received news that a Soviet armored force of the 26th Tank Brigade consisting of 50-60 "T-34s" and "T-70s" was attempting to reach the rear of our forces. In spite of the enemy's vast superiority, Staudegger decided on his own initiative to attack the enemy armored formation. In the initial two-hour firefight he destroyed 17 "T-34s and T-70s" with his "Tiger" tank from a favorable firing position. When the enemy unit subsequently broke off and withdrew, Staudegger followed it far beyond his own lines and, with no support, knocked out another five enemy tanks of the "T-34" type. The rest of the bolsheviks fled. Through his courageous decision Staudegger frustrated an otherwise unavoidable penetration and decisively weakened the enemy armored formation.
