Porting Mius Front Maps to SF

Post by frinik on Tue May 31, 2016 2:24 pm

I am wondering if it's feasible? After all we have ported Achtung Panzer/ Operation Star map to SF ( Sokolovo) and 10 FB maps into SF as well. Are Mius Front maps compatible with Steel Fury I wonder? Does anybody have the game and can check what type of file format are the maps ?

Definately no. SF and MF doesn't have anything common except tanks itself. mThough game engine looks pretty much the same, but of course tweaked a lot.
I think it is possible to transfer part of the map. It'll be not exactly the same, but looks similar. And I'm sure only Deviator may do that Smile

Why not try porting the Mius maps to SF? Even in small bits...

I can write scenarios after doing some reading.

We could have a mix of Wehrmacht and SS Panzer Kommandant.

Yes max 10 more likely to be six. I'll have to read and see what material I can find. I may make also 4 Soviet mission along with 6 German ones. The SU-85 made its appearance in August 1943 and particularly on the Mius front.

May be Claws of Steel? I don't know yet. Need to read first and think of good scenarios.

    Thank u, Frinik!
But I can't port polygon from MF directly to SF Sad
I may create a part of area based on the tactical(with heights lines) map like this one.
